They said that you were bitter
And bitter was your name.
But after just a taste of you
They’ve all now gone insane!

I did not wish to leave my happy place,
To wander in the gardens I had made,
To wear the sun and hear what birds did sang.
But when I left, I harbored in the taste.

But if you touched me, ever softly so,
To give a brush that’s barely there to feel,
I might assume this secret tease was real.
The fun is that I’d never really know.

Trade glances at a cafe sparingly
when she is sipping tea rebelliously.
“Oh, how long do you sit and stare at me?”
She takes me like a pillow – falling-ly!

peculiar
Hidden in your
pretty.
A riddle –
I’m not witty;
My laugh is amatory.
